California Smog Referee no more? (w/ pic for SM)
 

My auto shop at my school hosts a california state smog referee. He told us on friday that we'd never see him again as all california smog referee's got fired on friday and their position will not exist anymore. I am wondering now what people arte going to do for legitimate swaps and things like that.

smog ref was the guy who basically checked smog related things that an normal smog shop cannot do.

like a swap, he checks and makes sure all the emmisions are correct for the swapped motor.

or kit cars

or crazy JDM cars

or something like that.

probably going to be a long waiting list to get you car check and/or they will raise the cost way up. so like a wait so long your car is out of commision until it get checked.

For those peeps that don't know:
" (In California) All exhaust emission controlled vehicles with engine changes must be inspected by an official referee station and must have a Bureau of Automotive Repair (BAR) Vehicle Identification Label affixed to the doorpost. "

"Have your vehicle tested at a state Referee Center. To make an appointment, call the Referee Scheduling Center at (800) 622-7733"

This has to be done for a legal swap. But only like 2% of the people actually do this.

haha, you said smog. If I ever move to a "smog" state I'll just keep my registration and insurance in new mexico where I belong.

As sick as that is^^^ It happened to me one day when i was younger, i was walking in my basement bare foot and hit my big toe on a rusty sharp screwdriver that was poking out of a box, next thing you know I had the same type of infection, blue ---- leaking all over for the next 2 months, not pretty.

it was an ingrown toenail, the fix that ---- by cutting the nail all the way back then having you put some ---- on there that makes the nail not grow back

yeah, but mine was an infection, looked just like that in the first 2 weeks, then it got worse and this blue ---- started to drain out of my wound for about a month, the anti-biotics werent doing ----, took 2 months to heal and hurt like a bitch, couldnt walk on some days.
not to mention it smelt worse then an elephants -------.

I've never smelt an elephant's -------, and I don't plan on it. I had the ingrown for about 2 months, it hurt like a bitch some days, but I walked on it every day.

i had igrown toeanails for my whole life. so they went in and operated and fused some bones and ---- and now its all good.

that ---- happened to me twice. i had to poke at the bulging skin mound with a needle and then puss came outta it. i squeezed it out and then i could walk without pain again. ou have to cut your nail as deep as posible in the middle and let the outer edges grow.

i have had two for the past year, when they start to hurt, i just take a knife, jam it under the nail, pull it up, and cut the nail as far back as possible. it works for like a month. my big toe's nails are pretty small now. and yeah they stink very bad when they start getting deep. :-X
