C-Pillar Question

Okay, I've got a question...

I've got a 1989 CRX Si with Door-Mounted seatbelts. My question is:

How the heck will I mount a C-Pillar bar as a harness guide? I'd really love to switch to camlock harnesses so I can ditch the crapass doormounted seatbelts. The passenger belt sensor is f'ed up, so the seatbelt light randomly comes on and dings at me. Rather annoying. I intend to bypass/remove that too.

Thanks,
Richard

Re: C-Pillar Question

im not sure if there is a C-pillar on CRX's ???

the B-pillar is the one right behind the seats, often used to strap on a harness. there should be a pair bolts (dunno, since your seatbelts are in the door) in the sides. remove the bolts, put in the bar, put the bolts in, done deal.

if there's no bolts then you'll have to drill a hole.. careful not to go all the way through to the outside of the car, lol

If you want to get real seatbelts, you're going to need a real bar to mount them on. I personally wouldn't have anything to do with that.
