bye bye reverse

so i pulled into school today and attempted to back into a spot by the grill for our little bbq. Imagine my surprise when my car just kept rolling forward. I guess that was the little clunk i heard a few minutes before. The good news is that i got a new job today that starts next weekend, so im debating even fixing it since i have school and ----.

Ouch. How fast were you going when you threw it in reverse? :-X

I don't see how you would be bale to get away with not fixing it since you just got a new job and you have school and ----? ???

This reminds me of that audio link in ebaumsworld when the fake mechanic was telling the chick that she would need 2 transmissions if she wanted reverse. LOL. I think you might need reverse, but thats just me. ;D

i wasnt moving, it rolled forward because of the slope of the road. the reason i might not change it is because i dont have the time really. you can drive without reverse, a friend of mine did it for about 4 months in his old hatch

i fixed it! ------- reverse shift fork piece of ---- came loose, one of the bolts was stuck on the magnet in the trans. taking the trans off and back on with the motor in the car sucks dick, especially in the rain

my reverse and fifth gear dissapeared yesterday when bamboo was driving my baby. but yay for him he fixed it. otherwise i would be really really sad. i wouldnt be able to drive with out reaverse. i have to park in a parking spot for my house and without reverse it would eb kinda stuck there. i ran out of gas once and had to push my car about a mile. it sucked and it was a wonderfully sunny california day. with me my sister and my 90 accord lx sedan. not my idea of an ideal afternoon.

Re:bye bye reverse

a few weeks ago I pull into the parking lot at work and neutral feels weird, so I keep wigling the stick and I hear something metal hit the floor. the bolt holding the shifter to the shift linkage fell out and the shift linkage had hit the floor. I put a piece of coat hanger in it to get it home and then got a bolt and nut from carquest. it was a bitch to get it into any gear other than 3rd or 4th.
