Bushings blow! (OMG IT'S 1337!)

Finally have had time to look at why my Starion doesn't want to move(only took 5 months) and have come to the conclusion that bushings are meant to ---- everyone over. I looked at the shift linkage while my friend shifted through all gears (auto transmission) and the fucker doesn't even get to drive when you get to the L gear range on the shifter -_-. Upon further inspection of the shift linkage, there seems to be play and slack at every point due to the fact that metal annihilate's little rubber bushings that everything pivots on(------- engineers designed this linkage to fail eventually -_-). So I have come back to ask all you backyard mofo's, What the ---- materials do you use to make bushings? Can't go to dealer or local auto parts store for this linkage(finding a ------- filter for this car is as much pain as given birth I'd imagine). Also can't find these cars in the junkyard if your life depended on it. And fabricating a new shift linkage is out of the question because I'm too broke to afford something that i would most likely screw up on :X.

1337 for president!

Yes, 1337 is back(somewhat) and somewhat pissed at how hard it is to find parts for this Starion unlike my Celica :X. I was thinking about using some window weld (if i can find some 3M -_-) and shapping my own bushings, but i doubt it would last considering that the linkage pivot's at the points where the bushings are located. Wood or PVC piping make be my last ditch effort in fixing this huge problem -_-.

BTW what is a 4gh91? Is it some sort of new top secret Mitsu motor ???. And why on earth would you want to race in a junkyard? Maybe you use wheels as a track? *boggle*

That's a rather nicely done MPFI swap :X, what fuel management is he using? Unfortunately for me i have a 86 flatbody Starion no intercooler automatic :X. Good side is i finally found what the problem was with this car (should be a simple fix -_-) and only cost me 250 bones. Bad side i'm broke as ---- and looking for a job, prom and graduation time is around the corner, and i'm Hispanic :X. I'll try forming some JB weld around the bushings that are still left in the linkage later today and see what happens, hopefully it will be with a smile in my face.

Well i finally took out entire center console disconnected every linkage to the transmission and managed to get bit 20 times in 2 hours :X. Turns out someone dropped this tranny before and did a horrible job at it. Every single bolt is almost stripped, plastic parts are cracked, the cover over the flywheel on the transmission is missing, and a bunch of bushings and rubber caps are missing :X. On the upside JB weld does an excellent job at creating hard "rubber bushings", will finish tommorow and do a nice smoky burnout of success :X.

Like i've mentioned before Starions are rediculously hard to find decent parts for :X.

MOSQUITOS SUCK AND ITS ALMOST 10 AND IT'S STILL LIGHT OUT :X.
