ehhhh...I don't know. Get a blockbuster/netflix account, rent the movie, pop dvd in 52x dvd drive, blank dvd in the other, click copy on dvd-shrink and voila you'll have a completed dvd in no time...especially if you have a 16x+ burner and fast media. I just got 100 blank verbatim dvdrs for ~$20 shipped at newegg.com. That's 20 cent each. My samsung dvdr/rw/ram/dl/lightscribe burner ($35 on newegg) combined with the verbatim dvds has never done me wrong. The samsung drive is also great for burning your own xbox 360 games :D

Verbatim ain't that great...

Taiyo Yudens are the best money can buy. I got a slick ass deal a couple months back, 100 pack for $20 shipped.

well i've never had a coaster out of hundreds of dvds and thousands of cds made by them, they've had great ratings at all sites i've checked, and they've played perfectly in all the players (ps3 & 360 included)...so I'll stick with them.

Never heard of the other brand but I'm guessing they have all sorts of special dyes and scratch resistance and archival technology but bah...until I have a problem with what I'm using I'm not changing :P

It's more of a degradation problem, the Taiyo Yudens hold up for many years but others can start giving errors a few months or a couple years after they are burned. There are certainly much worse than verbatim. If you got a good deal on em, then they're alright.

With alot of the newer copyrighted DVD's, ive used anydvd with dvd shrink and decrypter. www.9down.com has the newest releases of em along with patches and cracks.

Yeah, I wasn't around for the scaming, I was at your mom's house kid. O0

Yeah I figured that was what it was about. The last 100 I bought has that "advanced azo" dye stuff that's supposed to make them last much longer. Honestly I don't care too much about it because I figure they'll scratch or be put on a harddrive or be reburned etc before they start having problems.

I'll chck on those taiyo yudens thought.

you know, you're right. no one asked me. i just figured since there were some total ------- idiots trying to make a mockery of a good thread, that i'd put my .02 cents in.

you just go right ahead and continue to make assumptions about me, it's fairly amusing. and like i said, i don't care for mycrx at all, however, he's higher on the totem pole than you are. you should really just delete your account, do everyone on this site a favor.
