Burlington, Bellingham, Everett Tuners.

Looking for a OBD-1 ECU tune in Burlington / Bellingham Area. I bought a p28 ECU from Xenocron and I would like a reliable Street tune for it. I have a 99SI with Header, Intake, and exhaust system.

Sure, it doesn't need a tune, but he sure as hell could benefit from one.

just wanted to be more clear. Also, he doesn't have a rom burner to burn a stock b16 bin, and would rather get a street tune anyways.

Re: Burlington, Bellingham, Everett Tuners.

Why don't you at least put a stock B16 bin on it then

Re: Burlington, Bellingham, Everett Tuners.

yeah you might try a stock b16 rom...probably have better results.

no by lag I mean that the engine actually hesitates like it is going to stall out. but then does not. and sometimes at speed when the RPM gets about 2500 or less.

I'd like to see a tune do 4 whp and 3 wtq over a stock 203 .bin.

Stock engines do not need tuning. Just get the ECU chipped with stock B16 code, since that's what you have.

catch.can 07-22-2006 10:11 PM

Re: Burlington, Bellingham, Everett Tuners.

Thats what we were trying to do, just get a b16 bin for it, he only did the p28 conversion so that he was ready for when he goes boost.

I bet you could do +5-6 ft/lbs down low and maybe 2-3 ft/lbs up top. Purley a function of timing and no more knock sensor. :)

Stock ECU ftw.

Re: Burlington, Bellingham, Everett Tuners.

Get ready for around town tip-in pingies when you have a bad tank of gas, or on a real hot day. There is a reason why Hyundaidata website claims you can make up to 25% more power in the sub-2500 rpm region by molesting timing... and there is also a reason why most people don't do it.
