why do you think you will make more hp?fully built D versus fully built B no competition. and reason for breaking in under low boost is to prepare the car for what it will be going through, just like a factory turbo car, they dont take the turbo off and then break it in they do it all at once.

Re:Built D Craze...

well you are limited by your stock sleeves to 14 psi or so otherwise youll eat em ala jeffs 2 motors. from what i see d sleves can hold more boost. im going to post mine so i hope to hit 18psi. so you have 40 more hp than me off the bat, but i have a turbo cam and worked head along with 4 more lbs of boost. we shall see

Re:Built D Craze...

HP increases from boost are dependant on the HP without it. say your D is making 105WHP NA (not too bad of an estimate) and his B is making 140 (hopefully) both at 14psi you will be making appx 205 wheras he will be making 275. up you boost to 18psi and leave him at 14 and you'll be making appx 240 while he is still at 275. how were you going to make more power then him?

I'm all about D series, but B's are always going to be more powerfull then D's sorry man

Noe of that means ---- without turbo size. :-\ There are way too many variables to even attempt to calcualte something like that without any specs. ALso, why did you rate the D at only 105hp and the B at 140hp? I believe he is running a Z6 which produces more than 105hp in stock form.

yes the z6 is rated at 125 at the flywheel.I see your point bamboo but unless both engines are bullet proof to handle verry high boost Doc. is right. There are to manny variables to compare them.

dyno sheets will tell all. i ditched my t3 48/60 lookin at a t3/t4 48/50 with a 57 trim wheel.

Re:Built D Craze...

a Y8 will do 105 wheels in stock trim, 127 at the fly. turbo size does matter, alot, my equasion is only an estimate, not a perfect analysis. it just uses the ambient air's power output and multiplies it by he difference in pressure. it works pretty well though, it puts a sock z6/y8 on 8psi at right around 175wheels which is about what everybody is getting right?
