Anyone here live in Utah?

Anyone here live in Utah?
I'm moving to Utah in August to go to BYU (gonna corrupt me some nice mormon girls), but I was just reading on their DMV website that a safety check in addition to a smog check is required for registration. Anyone in Utah know just how strict this safety check is?? Is anything about a turbo kit gonna make me fail? i.e. dumptube venting into atmosphere, vafc etc. Any insight into their safety tests would be mucho appreciated

I think for the safety check they just check your airbags/seat belts, stuff like that.
Oh, and for the smog, they don't even put your car on the dyno like they do here in Oregon, they just check it at idle. And you can get it done at just about any hole in the wall oil change place.
If you don't pass the first time (nearly impossible) there are a million places that will pass you for a few extra bucks.
I wish it was that easy to pass in Oregon.
Have fun at BYU! LoL... watch out for all the ricers on state street.

Safty is around $15 to 25$
all it does is have them check your horn, wipers, lights, breaks, windows, breaks... etc.
most of the time they just look at it and pass it, though if you have ricy lights or non DOT aproved stuff they can fail you.
I dont see any problems with the turbo causing issues.
Cool we are geting more HMT members here. I only know of 1 other, racerx guy i think.
