Default "The Brass T"

Well, I had my first Brass T extension break on me yesterday on my Ls/Vtec, I noticed a huge oil slick in the garage, so I checked it out at work today and found it broke right off where it meets the block. It came out pretty easy, and I redid it with a very short one. I normally use long ones, since some cars have external oil coolers. So, I guess this is a lesson, (SIZE DOES MATTER) the shorter the better. Especially since brass is so soft, and any type of vibrations over time, with make it weak and break right off.

isnt this why your supposed to use a line going from the block to the T to allow for flexing......

i was thinking that too. i was just going to put my T right on the fire wall and run a hose off the block.

That is true, but we are cheap here so, we have always done it that way... and that was my first time I had ever had a problem with it.. I think that motor just vibrates like a mother ****** with those mounts plus the T was a bit longer than I normally used. You can also buy steel extensions from mcmaster.
