BRAND NEW B-series heads....

Re: BRAND NEW B-series heads....
as far as i know there are 3-5 diff aluminum casting places in china that do complex work like a cylinder head. now having them cast in china isnt a big deal if they didnt do the design. if a comapnay sends them a design that is exactly what they make.
since endyn (to the best of my knowledge) is pretty upfront with data/specs of thier products i'm sure these heads are as good as advertised. and if they do outperform stock heads they price for an assembled unit is right on the money in my eyes.

Performance Crate Engines For Imports - A New Trend?
Performance crate engines have long been popular as an alternative to custom engine building for several reasons: They are based on a proven configuration; they are available in various sizes and stages; they are usually sold outright (no exchange needed); they are ready to install; they are often backed by a written warranty; and they often cost less than a custom built engine because they are done on a production basis.
So why not offer performance crate engines for the more popular import applications, too? That's exactly what several companies are now doing.
Recon of Philadelphia, PA (www.reconengines.com), has just released a performance crate engine for Hondas. The Revolution VTEC engine displaces 2.1 liters (an increase of 40 percent over stock) and is rated at 275 hp @ 7,900 rpm, and 190 ft. lbs. of torque @ 6,100 rpm.
Joe Giove of Recon says the engine retails for $11,900 outright (no exchange) and is fitted with brand new Honda castings that have been CNC ported by Dart and fitted with larger intake valves, double springs and titanium retainers. Compression has been bumped up to 11.5:1. The cylinder block is also from Dart. The engine is for street or strip, and carries a 12-month, 15,000-mile warranty.
Mr. Gasket is also going after the Honda market with a Honda GX20 crate engine that is being sold through their GSport division. Tom Payn of Payn Technologies in Troy, MI (www.payntechnologies.com), said his company helped develop the motor for Mr. Gasket. It uses a DART block and DART CNC-ported B18 VTEC GSR head, and is rated at 270 hp @ 7,800 rpm and 185 ft. lbs. of torque @ 6,000 rpm. The engine is available as a short block for $5,900 or a long block for $11,995. A 12-month, 12,000-mile warranty is included with the long block only.

Re: BRAND NEW B-series heads....
Any company that tries to do crate motors for Hondas will regret it. The market is by far to poor has 95 percent of Honda owners make less than 25,000 a year which inturn is why the craze of ebay mufflers is the big mod for these owners.
I have already started to sell domestic parts and find it to by far a smarter choice than the import world sadly, just not very much money involved in Hondas.
