BRAKES!!!
Ahhh, a week since I've swappede discs onto the rear and boy does it feel great to stop good. At the same time I put a Prelude Master cylinder on. The pedal travels barely any disance before lock up and is hard as hell. who would have thought that 1/8 inch diff in the bore would make soooo much difference. All i need is the proprtioning valve. To the Junkyard I go.
Probably get another intercooler to, the Ford Probe one I got doesn't fit v ery nicely and i saw a nice audi quattro on last week! |
Re:BRAKES!!!
i'm stoked for you man, a lot of people leave the brakes out when building a car. Its good to see someone with some common sense ;D

Re:BRAKES!!!
I put rear discs on my car, if I was to do it over, I just would have sold the trailing arms/disc's setup for the cash, because it didnt make much of a differnce on my car, Plus I'm a weight freak, and god damn they are way heavier than the stock drum setup.

Re:BRAKES!!!
front brakes matter a whole lot more on a honda, we use primarily our front brakes for stopping power. rear disk brakes do help though, especially when driving hard for long periods of time.

Re:BRAKES!!!
On 92-95 hatches can u switch the back brakes out of an old integra like in the CRX?
|
Re:BRAKES!!!
no you need a newer integra, to do a teg swap, but for EG's the easies/cheapest way is to use 92-95 ex/si rear brakes

Re:BRAKES!!!
Ya, my drums were crap and broken so the swap was actually cheaper then replacing. Plus work and Looks better. 90 and up work on 92-05 civics. We are using them on my buds car, so I hope they will work. I heard of them working. My next step is to use 90-91 EX front knuckles, Accord wagon calipers, and 93-93 Lude VTEC rotors(re-drilled). This gives you the size of intgra typeR in the front. Works good I hear!!! The Accord Wagon Caliper are the same Part # as the TypeR's so.
