It's a mix of the two. Sport suspension, steering, handling, convertible, combined with a small engine.

thats the traditional definition of a sports car.
you can't go fast around a track if you can't go fast period.
thats why ls1 camaros, GT mustangs, and others smoke s2ks on the road course.
this is also why there are different classes...
