bought a new gun.... (pictures)

its a Ruger Mini 14 .223 caliber... it uses the same action as a M1 Garand, and a M1A (clip fed Garand), and a M14.

btw the hurtin was $479 dollars

i really wanted to buy a M1A or a M14, but they're well over 1000 dollars. and the M1A is 30.06 and the M14 is .308
neither are good rounds for shootin a lot. Costs too much for bullets and they kick and bark pretty good.

$6.78 at wal-mart for a box of 40 .223 shells. compared to up around 14-20 dollars for a box of 20 .308s or 30.06s

anyways some pictures.

cool pic you can see the shell ejecting :)

on another note, i had to install a new alt today, i ------- hate my car and doin ---- too it :)

it was easy as ----, but i got hella grimey cause of the nasty condition of the underside of my car

plus when i do ---- to it, i always find stuff that needs to be replace like BOTH MY ------- AXELS CAUSE THE CV JOINT BOOTS ARE RIPPED. well one side it ------ ripped apart, and the other has a big groove in it and is about to rip apart. they havent' started to click yet though :)

Oooooooooooooohhhhhhh, a mini 14. I can shoot a fly off a horses ass at 50 yards with a mini 14. Very nice, smooth gun. For some reason they seem very loud for what they are. I think it's the barrel design? Nice pick. I've been thinking about a new purchase. Probably more in the line of a handgun though. I need something smaller. Thinking about a nice Beretta 9mm.

The stainless ones give me wood. I want some bling. 8)

Yeah, I guess they do have pretty short barrels. I was amazed at how loud they were. They sure do pack alot of heat behind that little bullet though. It's like swapping a fully built TT SBC into a CRX.

nice gun. I've started to hang out with gangsters or something because today I ask my friend if he wants to go to a party and he says no because he doens't have his gun. I'll be sure to ask you fools what kind to get when I turn 18 and can get a rifle.

I'm a Beretta fan as well. I recently picked up a Beretta Tomcat .32 to throw in my pocket when it's to warm to carry the full frame. 8)

what's scary is breaking into these fool's houses and not knowing if they're just waiting there with a gun or what.

All of my friends got handguns and a license to carry now and they're telling me to do the same. But a gun would only get me in trouble and if I would ever get one it would be a Desert Eagle .50 the original anti tank handgun 8)

You guys make me proud. I know one day we can all sit on the porch and talk about our old ladies over a cold one. :D
Although I consider myself a random strike kind of white man, to me you have three types of guns. Shotguns, rifles, and handguns.
I'm the type of guy that would buy a glock because it looks cool. (maybe it's that stealth look) ;) 8)

I think I'm going to get a 12 gauge mossberg shotgun when I'm 18, I can get one for $200 at big 5 sporting goods store.

Haha, that's funny. That is the same gun I bought when I tuned 18 and I bought it at Big5. I think I found it on sale for $179. My second purchase was an AK47.

damn, I guess I'll have to wait for a sale, or find it somewhere else cheaper. there was one in today's sunday ads that had a spare barrel, I think they were just begging someone to saw one of the barrels down because you have a spare.

Dr.Boost 08-15-2004 01:19 PM

Re:bought a new gun.... (pictures)

Yeah, mine came with a spare barrel too. One was homo long, but that's better for target practice/hunting because it's more accurate and keeps the blast more together. I don't hunt so I use the shorter barrel. Plus it looks cooler. :P

If I ever decide to get a 4dr civic like I want to I'm going to make something to hold the shotgun in the trunk lid so I can be uber cool.

On that baretta...that what the Marines use for there handguns. Its a really nice gun to shoot, but it is Loud, and kinda heavy for a tatical gun. And one other down-side to it, if it gets dirty, your fucked.

Other than that, its a great gun. If I were in the market for a hand gun, I would serisouly consider a Beretta. It would make a great pistol to have as a protection weapon, as well as a hobby pistol to shoot.

I also like Glocks.
A glock 19 would suit me just fine.

and that rifle is SEXY. same rounds we shoot with our M16.

I would rather go with a benelli, but thats a damn good price for the mossberg. Right now I have a over&under browning citori.

As far as side arms go I would have to go with the classic Colt .45

You should live here then, almost every house has atleast one gun.. my crazy old neighbor for instance, has about 30 or so.. He's hunted everything from Bear to Elk. And a lot of people here carry guns in their cars too, just in case..

There's nothing wrong with that. It's protection. I have a .45 in my truck at all times.
