I'm 17, and this is what I drive:
'91 CRX HF
B16
No rust
I didn't do the swap myself (bought it that way) but I paid for the car myself. My brother co-signed for a small signature loan and I've been making the payments and insurance payments on it ever since. It's possible to drive something nice at 17 but you have to be pretty dedicated to it.

It sounds like Boost and I were in the same boat. No one co-signed a loan for me. No one paid for my gas, my insurance, my car, repairs, nothing. I went and worked, got my car and paid for everything myself, still do to this day (although my parents are paying insurance now since I'm in college).
