Oh I forgot to mention the jets....40:1? I've mixed 40:1 before, but I was scared. I mostly run 36:1 or so. My motors last forever.

Yeah, the sand is a killer strain on everything, seals, chains/sprockets, motor....but it's very nice to your tires/rims and so so ice to ride in. God I miss Glamis.....

I know banshees are fast but if you modified a 250r just a little bit you can kill stock banshees any day. My 250r keeps up or beats most banshee that I have encoutered. Dont get me wrong I love the raw power of the banshee, but the 250r still holds the crown of one of the best all around quads, even though the its a grand father design.

Thats why this arguement is stupid. Everyone knows stock Banshee's are slow becuase of the pipes. It would be like if the MR EVO came out next year with same motor, turbo and everything the only difference was the factory turned the boost down to 3 psi. Now everyone says how slow the new EVO's are when in reality it only needs to change one simple thing and now its 3 times faster than everything else. But on the internet and to people who don't know anything about the car only know that a Honda Accord can beat an new MR EVO so the Accord must be better car to get to go fast. The only thing that matters is whats faster stock to stock.

Yeah, to the people that don't modify their bikes, but who the ---- doesn't modify their bike? If you go to any major event or area where there is fast crazy bikes, look around and see what's dominating the competition. I go to Glamis and I see Banshee after Banshee kicking everythings *** in it's way. That's the sure way to tell what's fast and what's not. If you want to be "different" or "slower" you can buy something else, but I want to have the fastest rocket my arms can hang on to.

Exactly. The only people who argue otherwise are people who don't even really ride. Go look at the dunes, the drag strip and even pikes peak. A Banshee holds the record as the fastest quad. ---- in 05' a Banshee took 11th overall place in the hillclimb, only 33 seconds behind the fastest pro rally car there.
