Re:BORED throttle body or OVERSIZED throttle body worth it?
What intake manifold is it? A skunk 2?
I could tell by looking at my skunk 2 manifold that a larger throttle body would make a difference, but not nearly as much as what the d16y8 would (seems like the reservoir for the air inside the manifold is better balanced on the skunk2 version; hence probably why it flows better). |
Re:BORED throttle body or OVERSIZED throttle body worth it?
My buddy bores out throttle bodys, and he was doing some comparisons on a dyno with a S2000 w/ a comptech supercharger. It gained 11whp with a 4mm oversize bore on the throttle body.
I run a 64mm T-body on most my setups, but jumping up to a 78mm on my next one. |

I need to put a larger one on my car too...stock is 54 or 56mm i forget. I'll probably upgrade to a 62 if I can later :)
