I don't like the fact that I smoke and would really like to quit. Problem is if I quit I'm NOT a nice guy.

I used to smoke a lot in high school and the early college years. The weirdest thing made my quit: I was sick with a flu or cold, nothing serious but cigarettes just sounded really bad at the time. Ever since then it sort of stuck and I don't smoke regularly. I still enjoy the occasional smoke when I'm drinking, maybe I smoke 5 or 6 a month which I don't even worry about. I just never have those cravings in the morning on my way to work, on my lunch break, after work, etc.

Weird stuff, but I'm glad that it happened.
