Boosted CRX

Here is some photos from a just completed HMT kit on a CRX.I did this for a somewhat local as I bought a CRX from him so instead of paying him we swung a deal that i would install a turbo kit for him.Parts used are SSauto T3 .42 .48 :-X Homemade manifold,SS wastegate&BOV,CDM ebay intercooler,TT/Stealthmode oil line kit,DSM 450's,Turbo Edit.He is a ricer but i have been slowly converting the local ricers to turbo and perfomance instead of trashing perfectly nice cars with fiberglass. The sad part of this car is it has awesome paint its House of Colors Candy Apple Red and if it wasnt for the nasty body kit it would look awesome.

It could have been cleaner by using a couple silicone elbow especially on the air intake but we had no time to wait to have one shipped in as the owner had to get back to work.I burned a chip for it and hooked up the LM1 to go for a rip and we had no boost.I thought wow this SSpoop turbo didnt even work out of the box that is even worse then my low expectations. Then i pulled the air filter off to take a peek and see if it was spinning and i see foam jammed in the blades :-X Looks like I forgot to take out the piece of foam the ship it with covering the blades to prevent damage. :1 Seams to work fine with all the foam cleaned out but we will see how long it lasts.Running 6psi for now until he has time to come back for a good street tuning session and upping of the boost as I left it fairly rich and lots of timing pulled so he wont blow it up right now if he slaps some 87 in the tank etc.Big thanks to a couple buddies who helped like with welding and one who helped by soldering the ecu for me so I didnt ---- up the only 90+ PM6 i have around right now.

at least it's turbo'd. Way to ruin a CRX with that ugly ass body kit and tail lights. H-T thumbs down ;)

I made him heat gun off the giant homo H but that is as far as I got with de ricing his car.The intercooler is purposely a little off center so you can run the hot piping in beside the full size rad.Other wise we would have to reloacte his washer fluid jug and that is a pain in the ass.It is really sad though how he trashed a perfectly good CRX with a nasty body kit like that :3You should see what he had all over the one i bought from him, there was big giant decals of a Jester :-X
