a smoke bomb would work too. you put the smoke bomb in the air intake and cover up the open end with tape and then check for smoke at the connectors.

I wouldn't think that it would. You would ahve to put a flaming item in your intake, and then the smoke wouldn't be pressureized, so I wouldn't think enough would come out that could be noticed, unless there was some gaping hole from an unplugged sensor or something.

The cig works on a calm day with the fan off, this device is worht the $, IMO, if you ahve a leak problem.

oh by cig i thought you meant a ciggarette, so i figured a smoke bomb would be more visible cause of more smoke. whats a cig?

I meant cigarette, but outside the pipes :o . Just putting them cear the couplings will move the smoke on a calm day.

It is kinda like finding cabin leaks. They used pressurized smoke at some shops. The machine is a little expensive though.
