It will last forever if done right, its when the car keeps rusting under the bondo which it will.

Exactly, but there are steps to prevent that from happening as well. What are you looking at fixing using Bondoglass? Holes? just some rust spots or dents or what? Just curious as to what kind of body work your going to be using it on.

never put any body filler over rust
waste of time
cut out the rusted metal and replace it with sheet metal, weld it in and then use the body filler to make the connection of both pieces seamless

btw bondoglass is for big holes and ----, its got fiberglass strands in it, harder to work with

yea it seems to be working fine, and when you said hard to work with no doubt. Im useing it for basic body work and yea im cuting out the rust, its going great but i just wondered how long it stays on the car but thanks for the answears. Also i would suggest it for any kind of body work its great and looks good, can't go wrong for 10$ a can at autozone ;)

I had a kid that I know who works at a body shop do my bondo work. It looked great for a year and now its coming back, looks like another trip to grandpas this summer but. I can't complain the kid did the bondo work for free.

plastic body fillers absorb moisture and hold it against the metal, thats why everything bubbles up again around the bondo'ed area

bondoglass is definitely harder to work with, but in my opinion better than regular bondo.

I've gotten away with just sanding down surface rusted metal and appling bondo over that, and it held up fine. I'm not sure what you guys consider rust, in Cali we don't get much of the rust eating monster.

just get a paint removal wheel for like 2-4$ at a automotive supply store and remove all the paint around the spot your gonna be puttin the bondo on! id leave about an inch around the spot thats actually getting the bondo on it ;)
