my wife and I eloped, and then had a nice reception at home. We got married in a gazebo on the beach with our 2 best friends there as wittnesses. ohh yeah, and it POURED down rain to. my wife says thats good luck, but i never heard that before.

I think our marriage cost a total of about $250 or something like that.

i would really like a nice expensive wedding, because it is a 'milestone' in your life, but at the same time, i would almost rather have a mortage. I cant decide but we are going to be happy with whatever we choose, and will always have the memories. And i also found a picture of my ring.

i don't think i would get married until i have enough money in the bank to be able to support a wife and kids with out working for the rest of my life....
it just seems like such a big step and that your going to have A LOT more responsibilities...not to mention kids that are dependent upon every decision you make. That doesn't scare the ---- out of anyone else??

my wifes ring is very similar to "D". Best $4,000 i ever spent.

But as someone else said, i wouldnt spend alot on the ring, spend it on a down payment on a home.
