Blew up my gsr--pics to come
Yeah, so i've only been into honda's for about a year, and i've slowly been upgrading from ricer status to HMT. Started w/ the stock d15b7, threw a turbo on it, blew the headgasket, went ls, put the turbo on it, then rosario4124 picked up a gsr out of a totaled hatch....he said hate hate hate, fablad, etc, etc, so i picked up the gsr w/170,xxx miles. Put a jackie chan t3/t4 on, got crome, moates stuff, made a little street tune, and my best run at the track was 14.5 at 100mph (wheel hop owns me). Motor started to smoke, so i put the boost up to 11-12 psi and did a quick 30 second through town and broke the ringlands on all 4 pistons.
Bored the block .050 over, dropped in the tuner toys rods with new wiseco 81.5 8.9:1 comp pistons, new acl race bearings, got the deck milled (bring comp up to ~9.1:1 comp) and the block is pretty much all set. Planning on sendin the head to chris to get some action, 3-angle valve job, port and polish, along w/blox im and 70mm tb from chris to get bench flow tested...got blox turbo cams for the head too for a good deal...
haven't made a post for awhile, so i wanted to update hmt on my build...i've been into chevy's until this last year, so i'm interested to see how this b motor does
