$40 to ship 18 lbs worth of turbo @ $15 core value to BLAAST at estimated 7-10 business days, IIRC. Return shipment was equally sucky and took about 14 business days from the time he shipped, but the total price was a downright deal and in my expert opinion he was giving his rebuild service away. He also requested to speak to me on the phone first before doing business with me "because I like to see who it is I'm talking to," meaning he's trying to screen clientele because he's used to dealing with stupid teenage kids that buy Honduhs because they are cheap, buy chinese parts because they are cheap, have no mechanical skills or automotive experience, and have unreal expectations. It ate all their McPaycheck for a month to build so it ought to run 9's, right? I put up with that ---- all the time and is the whole reason I'm unobtanium to most of the people who live in my hometown, why most people have heard my name but have never met me.

Oso, you're HMT nog and I've gotten a bit of a feel for you even if I don't deal directly with you. I 100% believe that the communication problem isn't all on your end. I mean, the last time I spoke to Giullame (sp) he spoke with a pretty thick French-Canadian accent even though he was fairly fluent in English, there was definitely a bit of a gap in communication despite me being able to tell he knew what he was talking about. I, also, asked him about oddball turbos and he was pretty good about saying what he'd touched and what he hadn't, and if he'd touched enough to know them well.

That being said I've heard of some poor communication from BLAAST on a couple of other occaisions, some of which seem pretty legit... as far as I know on my end of the interwebs without being in any way involved in the deal. He isn't an outright thief, and the debacle with ZC4ME's friend also involved some static. I personally have had local riceboys (who don't know what I look like) tell me to my face that I have either tuned their car, am going to tune their car, or that they hear I blow up a lot of engines although they can't name one, etc etc etc. I always got the feeling that BLAAST was a lot more reasonable about things than I am, as I personally don't take well to being stood on or call-a-thoned, but every man has his limits. Maybe you've found his, even though I don't think it's what you though you were doing.

This thread has been going on for a while. I usually always agree with JD until the time he called my turbo "cho cho pai" and it was made in a sweat shop. I told him that the makers said it would make my car have "750 lopan's" to the wheel. he asked what that meant in horsepower numbers and I simply told him I didnt have the conversion chart yet. JD just laughed and for that you can go to hell JD. My car goes so fast the alteezas fell out. Now what JD?? Better convert over to Chinese sucka!!
