Default bitch work...

this is pretty much the reason why my cars arent done yet ]

just started downstairs today... filled up 2 full size dumpsters so far.. the one i have now is half way full.. so prolly gonna need 2 more dumpsters to finish

im pretty much completly gutting the house... to get it ready for the electrician to come in... the guy said 500 bucks if i help em.. and hes a certified electrician.. idk.. anyone think i should attempt to wire the house myself? :1
inputs from dr boost would be nice the wiring at the box in the basement is already done with new service boxes and what not.. its just that the wiring in the house is the old system.. idk..

i would be running light switches.. and atleast 3 outlets per room... or 1 on every wall.. more in the living room.. more in the kitchen.. i really thing i can do it with input from hmt's electricians

i will also be doing the ductwork for the hvac for the house.. im going to put 1 unit in the attic.. with ducts going down into the 2nd floor to heat/cool the attic and 2nd floor.. and then im installing a unit in the basement with ducts going up to do the basement and first floor..

pretty much gonna do the same thing i did for our house with my dad.. we ran all the ductwork.. and put the unit in the basement
and the condensor outside
and drilled the holes needed to run the plumbing and then got a guy who only charged us 200 bucks to get the unit up and running and show us the ropes.. i can prolly remember the ---- he did but i wouldnt wanna risk ------- up the units... lol

as soon as electrical is done im gonna update all the plumbing.. and then insulate the home with insulation rolls.. i got r13 i think.. but i dont remember.. already have all the insulation bought.. then ill hang all the drywall.. and bring someone else in to do the putty work (im not good at that) then i can paint...

hardwood floor under all the shitty carpet i took out is still suprisingly good.. for our house we removed all the nails and staples from the hardwood.. then sanded it down.. ------ a nice wood filler glaze (expensive ---- that blends in well) then sanded a little bit more.. then resealed the entire floor of the house.. i liked the way it came out.. pretty sure im gonna do the same thing here..

gonna bring in an outside company to do all the windows later.. gonna replace the double windows with one big sliding window.. cheaper and easier to clean.. i like em..

well thats it for now.. i hope to get valuable input.. and not just ---- talkers

Damn buk, my original opinion of you was that you were a complete moron...although I didn't have anything against ya. Weird seeing you accomplish ---- hahaha

Looks like a complete pain in the ***, but I would like to find a structurally sound but shitty house to work on.

its not that bad.. and my dads friends are helping us out by paying to have it fixed.. so im helping out in any way shape or form to keep costs to them at a minimum.. had some dumbass mexican (no offense to you ) tell me that they cant work on the house because it has asbestos.. and that they wouldnt touch the house for less than 15k just to strip it :P

i thought to myself.. damn.. even the price of mexican labor is going up :P

i ended up saying ---- it.. and me and my cousin went to town and pretty much fucked ---- up..

this house is SOLID.. basement walls are like new.. never leaked when it rained or flooded.. and no mold anywhere in the house.. i convinced my mom to do it right.. she wanted to just ------ rig everything.. and go with the old electrical system and keep the same pipes.. i basically told her you dont see how our house is? were blowing the fuse turn thingies left and right.. and little to no water pressure.. and the house gets cold as ---- really ------- fast in the winter.. i told her do it right and you wont have to worry about anything in the house for another 100 years.. idk.. i love the house..

its a 2 story home split families with seprete utilities.. ---- it.. why not?

Yeah give the sparky a hand , but I wouldn't try wire it myself. Unless you have some experience in house wiring go for it Just the risk factor involved if you don't know what you're doing
The rest looks good!

if they guys going to help wire the place for 500$ just have him help, watching my dad do one room when we added a extension to there house, and also the time, its worth having someone that knows what there doing. luckily my dads a electrition or that could of been funny to watch. its easy electrion work, but still a ---- load of wire that has to be done right. we did have a lot of extras like outside lights and outlets for the outside so he wired it up so we had everything we needed. personally 500$ seems like a good price to have someone help. just think of all the time your goign to spend, researching on what to do and making sure you did it right and stressing about if the house is going to burn down.

Jesus Christ Buk, you really need to start conversing with people that are remotely intelligent. Bringing a house down to the studs in the Detroit area to revamp it is a TERRIBLE investment/decision. Especially when you are just going to turn around and use some broke *** labor. Copper is expensive as hell. What is $500 going to get you? 30-40 hours of labor of some electrician who stinks of cheap vodka? If it sounds too good to be true, most likely it is too good to be true. I'd start looking for a way out ASAP.
