billet terminations

1 Attachment(s)
I was having problems with my aluminum charge pipes getting bent b/c I always overtightened the t-bolt clamps.
So, I noticed these on Racing Solutions site. They are billet so, probably wont bend as easy. Well see. BTW I like that they have the bead to stop the couplers from slipping off.
Thats is all.

You just need to form a bead around your charge pipes. Do as 88dx suggested. Get a coat hanger or something you can wrap around your charge pipes and epoxy(this means JB weld) it to the charge pipe. I'd imagine those billet solutions being pretty expensive for no reason.

Seems like a lot of cash for nothing. You have to weld them on anyway, so if you can weld alum, just lay a bead around the pipe end.

seems like a good idea, but theres so many alternatives that are free or very cheap that these probably arent worth the money

$15 each. Dosent solve the prob that I was crushing the soft alum. Im not suggesting anyone buying them, I just never seen them b4, and wanted to show them to all who havent seen them either.

All you need is a Lip at the end of the pipe. The T-bolts dont have too be that tight. Spray paint the pipes and clamp the couplers down with the paint still wet they wont come off ;)
