Re: Big spider pic+welds pic
I probably would of hit the spider with some high frequency >:D
Also any tips for a person new to tigging, mainly how in the heck do you get down in the corners. I have tried using a 4 cup and with a little more stickout than normal and a little less, and my arc just kinda shoot all over the place. Seems like it wants to go sideway more than where i want it to. BTW, those are some damn nice looking welds. Later Randy |
Re: Big spider pic+welds pic
Yeh I have a massive fear for most big looking spiders so normally kill them on the spot.
Maybe because when I was younger I was attacked by several red backs all over me...fukin hell. haha :-[ |
Re: Big spider pic+welds pic
use a gas lense. you can stick the tungsten out alot further.

Re: Big spider pic+welds pic
Fook, thanks for inputs, all those issue have been corrected.
I found out the spider is called a "Wolf spider" they would capture/eat things as big as thier size such as crickets, butterfly ect. Evil-You can't stick the tungsten out really far with a small cup, try to use the biggest cup possible and gas lense is definitely a must if you want to pull the tungsten out. |
Re: Big spider pic+welds pic
Stealthmode said it best. people ask for input about their first time welds, and then show pictures of flawless welds. everyone that replies has nothing but good things to say.
and thats the entire honda-tech welding forum |

Re: Big spider pic+welds pic
I don't really believe there's such thing as flawless weld, there's always something to improve on, it all depends on who you ask. I bet you a pro would have lot to say about above pics.
But yeh, a lot of people just picked out the best look pics and ask for criticisms. Personally I have a lot worst looking welds as well many better looking welds :P :P |
Re: Big spider pic+welds pic
go find another spider, put them together and watch them fight >:D

Re: Big spider pic+welds pic
your welds look nice and symetrical, but why is there a rainbow of color? what is the base and filler used?
