in the past 6 months....well...actually....since June, I have shipped 2 vehicles...well, the RX7 got shipped twice. Once from Florida to NC and the other NC to Virginia.

$525 from florida to NC and $250 for the NC to VA trip.

no way in hell could I have done it myself, cheaper.

find a broker. you will put some info into a little system...and within about 2 days you will have about 20 quotes.

Friend of mine shipped a Lincoln from CA to IL on the cheap, about 700 bucks if memory serves.
