what makes you think your battery is dead? Every year when i put my accord away i take the neg battery cable off and when i put it back on she starts right up... but i dont have the greatest battery either.

take off coil wire and crank it over . then plug it back on then start

I do that every oil change. Unplug the coil, and crank it over some. Or if you too lazy to do that, just crank it over some without starting the car, and then start it.
