Every alarm uses a shock sensor to set it off. It's adjustable from sensative to not sensative. It probably wasn't the alarm, it was the sensor. Most alarms come with the glass breakage sensor as well. Its just another sensor and you can add it on to pretty much all alarms. Everything alarm is an add on box.
All that paging ---- is just something some happy chinese guy created to sell. Just get a good alarm with glass breakage sensor and a backup battery. Everything else is unneccesary.

As the boards only MECP certified mobile audio expert (I think), I am going to agree with everyone else and tell you to go with the Clifford Matrix RS3. Its freakin awesome and its part of the DEI lineup who are the top in the security industry. You will NEED to have your alarm, any alarm installed by a professional. There are alot of complications that you could run into especialy with all of todays computer controlled ignition cars and the like. I happen to have a RS3 sitting here on my desk, and its for sale. Brand new, I'm looking to get $250 shipped. It retails for $479. Let me know if you are interested.

Well, i guess most of us here are technically inclined so you could probably get an alarm in no biggie, but when you start adding in remote start and other things, sometimes things do get dicey. Just saying from experience. Also, the everyday guy doesn't have access to software that tells you the exact location and color of each individual wire, which helps.

Sorry, Xplodcivic, I'm an MECP certified first class installer (so that makes 2).

I'm with Abaz on the AG4. I have had it in 3 cars, and it hasn't let me down yet. The bitch was reinstalling it :-)

Sweet! its good to see another installer on the board. I just quit Best Buy last week, and now I'm with an independent shop, life is sooooo much better, just not as busy yet, but we're almost off the ground and running. I set up our alarm display today, tomorrow we're building our mobile video display. I'm learning fiberglass and custom fabrication, which I'm really excited about.

I'm not installing anymore. I got out of it last year professionally and started a new job as a Hyundai Technician. Now I'm MECP, ASE, and Hyundai certified (horray). I do miss installing sometimes. I got to screw around at work a lot more :-)

i work at a stereo/alarm shop and imho the carbine/marksman alars are some of the most reliable. i have a m11 and it rocks fully fm to fm so range is awesome, and no line of sight bs.
