Best car alarm?

Just bout a newer 02 civic coupe, not to worried about it being stolen for parts or anything but for peace of mind i would like to install an alarm to prevent my ---- from getting fucked around with. What does everyone use car alarm wise? Any other anti theft devices other then fuel cut off switch, ignition kill swich, the boot and a clutch lock.

Alarm's are useless. There only as good as the people that hear them and ingore them. My ex/? girlfriend's car got keyed and the driver side window busted out sitting right in the middle of downtown asheville on a saturday night.

tie a pit bull up next to your car, with a nice long leash so he can get the whole way around it...no one ------- with you car then

actually a viper "responder" alarm is very effective because it has a two way key fob that has an lcd display of your car, and if the alarm is set off the key fob will chirp and show you if a window was broken out or whatever, that way if your away from the car you still know someones messing with it and you can run back to the car and bust out your gat...

Re: Best car alarm?

the best alarm is a well installed alarm....

all alarms are basically the same...aside from the schucks/walmart ----... for the longest time i had a chinese DEI knockoff in my car (before this huge flood of crappy chinese products). was a great alarm. but all in all its worthless, cuz the install was off the shelf. thiefs are smart. dont believe the hype, there not stupid. they have skill. unless its some joyriding kids or crackheads. they want your ---- they will put in the effort! you need to be smart about the install of the alarm. hood pin, WORKING door pins, backup battery, backup sirens, jimmy proofing the hood and doors!!!

something that has stuck with me is something i read in the Integra Type R forum on Honda-Tech... "LAYER YOUR SECURITY!" the more ---- there is that the theifs need to get threw the more time they need to spend in the car hacking at your ---- trying to figure out how to get it to run.

997 has a ton of features. Code hopping, 2 way lcd pager, turbo timer etc.

Next up is the 998. Its basicaly the same alarm with a different remote but pretty much the same range and features.
