beat a speeding ticket in cali
 

last week, i went out to go see my homeboy out in lancaster(LA county) for his bday. afterwards, i went to go see some relatives in sacramento and the bay area. well, along the way i got a speeding ticket going down the I-5. it was in central cali where there isn't ---- but ------- farms and cows and ----. ----------ers caught me doing 104 mph :-X . so the highwaypatrolman wrote me the ticket and told me that because i was going over 100mph, i have to appear before a california court, and that i couldn't just pay the ticket.

now, before you guys all jump on me and ask "what the ---- were you doing going that fast?," realize that i was in the middle of NOWHERE. anybody who has taken a trip from socal to norcal can vouch for this. not only that, the speed limit is 70 mph, but even the truck drivers are doing 80+ mph.

does anybody in cali know of a good place to help beat speeding tickets? otherwise im expecting to pay around a $1000 fine and have my license revoked.

There is no place that I know of where you can "beat" a ticket.If he got you on radar just start lubeing up now.Remember this state is almost baknrupt so they need all the money they can get.

damn... out here they have lawyers or whatever who can knock down traffic violations to parking tickets. i was hoping they would have the same ---- out there.

Lawyers are expensive.It would proabably cost you atleast $350.But your still at the judges mersy.

$350 is still cheaper than $1000, plus hopefully my driving record will stay clean. :-\

if youre going to speed make sure that you are
1.faster than the cops
2.can out handle the cops
3. know where you are going
i think those rules go for anytime you want to break the law

Get a lawyer, i my buddy was doing 95 in a 60 and he got a lawyer and had to pay 400 to state for speeding and lawyer fees but aleast you get to drive

I got a lawyer for my "2nd degree negligent" and I got off with one year probation. If I don't get any other tickets it will go off my record like nothing happend. I also had to go to trafic school (on line) he he what a joke that is. Anyway try to get a lawyer, they know the district attornies and a lot of times they will cut you a deal. 98ctr

back in october i got a speeding ticket for going 65-70 in a 35 zone :-\ , so i took it to court to fight it saying it wasnt me ,and sure enough the cop didnt show up and the court issued me a du 13 or cop no show and it was thrown out ;D the second time was in feb. same cop same thing speeding :-\ and took it to court and once again the cop was a no show so i drove away ;D
