I was channel surfing looking for good ---- and couldn't find anything and then all of a sudden remembered that old show battlebots. whatever happened to that show? is it ever still on?

The television show BattleBots aired on the American cable network Comedy Central for five seasons, covering five complete BattleBots tournaments. The first season aired starting in August 2000, and the fifth season aired starting in August 2002. Hosts of BattleBots were Bil Dwyer and Sean Salisbury (with Tim Green replacing Salisbury after the second season) and correspondents included former "Baywatch" actress Donna D'Errico, Carmen Electra, Heidi Mark, Traci Bingham, and identical twins Randy and Jason Sklar. Bill Nye was the show's "technical expert".

Due to continued declining ratings (one major criticism of the show was that it focused far too much on the wacky reporters and the robot builders' backstories, and not nearly enough on the actual robot combat), Comedy Central terminated their contract with BattleBots Inc. in late 2002, and BattleBots Inc. is currently seeking another television partner.

The british version is better, can't recall what it's called. They have some kickass house robots and more of obstacle courses and ----.

I remember that ----...it was awesome. I liked when the house bots tore the ---- out of the players.

Robot wars, there were some good robots on that, a couple of my mates entered but never did very well.

The robot show with the "house robots" is hella lame.

2 robots with weapons, a flat surface is the way it should be.

I just rewatched the classic SRL video A Bitter Message of Hopeless Grief. I derived more satisfaction from this than all four seasons of Battlebots combined.

I have almost every junk yard wars that was on or what i could get on vhs.
Junk yard wars helped me build my first hover craft. ;D

Whats up with the media these days? They canned so many good shows that were actually educational and replaced them with complete bullshit.
