Re:battery tip

Some company called "BAT" or something like that makes a 12 lbs. battery thats almost as good as factory battery. I think it has a little lower CCA

Re:battery tip

battery size shouldnt affect your stereo unless you listen to it with the engine off.

Re:battery tip

Harley batteries ... sounds cool but I would wonder about how many amps that size battery could effectively handle under the load of a Honda alternator. Not sure what Harley stators charge at (amps), but sounds like a really short lived weight gain. You may actually fry your alternator after a while if the Harley battery has a considerable amount of resistance(overheating alt.).

Re:battery tip

do they make 'off' brand battiers that will do the job?

I got an Optima red top. With the RPMs up, I can run a ------- winch on my car.

Re:battery tip

That's not really true.
If you have a big system, a large bass tone will draw enough amps to overwork your alternator and need some support from the battery.

So I have a 50 lb Optima yellow top in my car with no system. It was free, so shoot me.
