Are battery gases harmful?

I just moved my battery to the trunk the other day and I was talkin to this guy and he says that batteries give off harmful and explosive gases. He said I need to get a sealed box with a drain hose routed outside the car. I've seen boxes that come with those hoses but didn't know if it was bullshit or not. Anyone?

Aren't the optima yellow top batteries a good alternative when you relocate your battery inside the vehicle? Maybe you should check them out before you buy another battery box :-\

You won't get Herpes per se, but it'll hurt just as much as Herpes... Just think about it.

Battery = SOME STRONG ASS ACID
STRONG ASS ACID + PENIS (OR ----- WHATEVER YOU HAVE) => BIG ASS PAIN IN THE GROIN!

Haha. just get a sealed battery.

BTW, can someone explain to me the benefits of relocating the battery to the back on a FWD car. ??? I thought you would want the weight up front for traction, or is this to try to distribute the weigth more evenly? ???
