Are u kidding me? the german spec, if running the s52 has like 330hp you cant tell me that the evo8 beat it, it would prob kill it if it had the speed limiter taken off. It had must of been the s50 engine, but reply back i want to know whats up with that. The stock evo 8 has like 276 for like an 05. Try putting a turbo on the m3 with one kit you would hit over 500 from active autowerks, i wouldnt exactly hate on bmws cause they are not slow, people just have cheap cars modded cause young people dont have enough money to buy and turbo charge an m3 with an s52 engine try pulling that crap with the smg(80 millisecond shifting)faster than ferrari, m3 and slap on a turbo just like all the other tuners and youve got over 500hp.

i like old bmws. my boy had an old 320 or something, pretty much a race car with a cage and what not, but it was his daily and i never saw him get on it really. in CT so in the snow too.

and you friends evo has what 280whp? a stock m3 has 240 at the crank, do the math, they arnt bad stock, a turbo m3 would run laps around a evo. plain and simple. even like that one in the vid, has a active autowerks supercharger on it, m3csl at that so a bit differnt ---- then a norm.

what sup with the E-aguring?? is it THAT hard to belive car A beats car B?? comparing numbers doesn`t do ----.
I was in my freinds WRX (with a cat back) and we were running a e46 M3 and the M3 wasn`t THAT mcuh faster, just SLOWLY pulls away from the WRX going 120+. I`ve drove a LOT of car and seriously M3s are overrated and so are the STI and evolutions. they are handling machines not the super car in everyone mind. And you are tyring to say a "turbo M3" will be faster then a Evo and all, DUH.. So can a evolution upgrade a stock turbo.
Its all good if you have all that cash to buy a "M3 with s50 and turbo charge it", thats a very nice car, AKA the ultimate driving machine however I would say more then half of us here can shift way slower then a ferrari, but still beat your stock E46 M3 in a heart beat

I am talking stock for stock. I am in A BMW/AUDI dominated country so I would know what I am talking about when I say anything about them. every American I know here over rates BMW like they are so Great when they are all in the junk yards here. they get a stock 1988 318i or 5 series and they think they can beat a turbo civic, they cant even beat a stock one.
even the Germans know they are not as fast as ya'll make them out to be, Audi's and Mercedese rule the autobahn here. as I said up top I raced a M3 from stop light to light, 3 times and he did not even came close, my car is dynoed at 326hp with shitty suspension no lsd.at 18psi. and I beat him at 7psi

first off i wasnt criticizing evo 8s but im saying that you have to know what engine is in them cause there are s50s and s52s, s52s have at least 60+ hp on the s50 and if you get the csl its the lightweight of the class , they also have a different setup than evos as well they are pushed to the max with vanos system evos of course as u kno ware turbo and all wheel drive i dont want to sound like they suck i just couldnt picture it getting whipped i would think it would be a good race.
