you guys see that onthe cart engine? exhaust gas priority is given to the wastegate!

Yeah, wastegate placement is very important, yet people tend to disregaurd it. That's a damn nice setup.

5.5bar on the M13 engine in qualification, incredible! Always wondered what kind of turbo they used to get 1300hp on a 1.5L

Notice the size of the turbos too. Compressors as large as you need to support your hp goals, and turbines as small as you can fit on the compressor. Then give exhaust flow priority to the wastegate, and hold it closed until full boost is reached. Because of the small turbine, spool will be very quick, then main exhaust flow is taken over by the wastegate when exhaust flow through the turbine is no longer efficient.

i saw an article on that cosworth engine... it gives wastegate priority becuase they can only run like 4psi on the engine regularly.
