Is it a bad idea to have the oil pan off the motor for extended time?

By extended time, I mean a week TOPS, and the cars inside my garage. I took off the oil pan today so i can bring it to my buddy's shop and get it tapped, I just don't know whether I should take the time to crawl back under and attempt to cover the inner workings of the bottom end. Does it matter?

Why not just throw a trash bag on there? Not like it will take long.

dont spray it with brake cleaner, if there is any dust in there it will go in the oil and go to the filter, what u dont want to do is have a preasurized pray push any dirt on to the bearings. your garage is clean enuff with a concreat floor. its just fine. put a peice of cardboard down so you moma dont kill you.
