if you look at the timeslip the car is well on its way to a 12 sec run, but he says he hit the brakes

so he hit the brakes is why his time sucks, but his trap speed is still 106

That slip sounds a bit bogus to me as well, if you have a NA civic running 13.8's trapping over 106mph you have alot more than just Spoon96EK: only spoon cams

Hmm, last time I checked a "Stroker kit" requires custom rods, and a custom crankshaft, that alone is going to set you back around 2 grand. So I wouldnt quite call that a stock B18b bottom end?

And now that you have basically told us you have a semi built 2.0L w/ cams in a gutted hatch, I see no problem with the times you have posted. But a stock ls/vtec and those trap speeds are definatly not going to happen.
