i have rebuilt a 4L60.. not the E though, but like the outher guy said.. driv it in man. 1st. and see if it drives all fucked up then, if so it could be the low one way.(which when we dynoed ours we blew up) if it is truly only in reverse, then its something in the reverse clutch.. everything is rebuildable in that tranny, and it is best to rebuild it! they are great trannys, if u so rebuild it, go the extra mile and get all new steels and frictions for it. if u need some more info u can e mail me at elijah351m@yahoo.com. sorry to hear about it though, also make sure u buy a new torque converter!!

Ok so heres the update, one of my dads buddies has a wrecking yard and he said he can get me a rebuilt tranny with waranty for 900 if i pull and install the tranny myself or 1300 if they do it all. What do you think? Seem good?

Also i have yet to see if i have 1st gear braking. So what does it mean for me if i do or if i do not, is it a cheaper fix one way or the other opposed to what this wrecking yard deal is going to run me? Any thoughts?
