Re: auto bailout....
toyota makes some potent diesels in european applications, american economy doesn't like diesel and thrifty like europe does. but the bulk of sales they would gain for bringing their sweet *** million mile diesels to the us and a would more than double the overall sales

Gm brands need to be broken into smaller companies. Corvettes,Hummers and Caddilac's will always sell but we have already seen one *** backwards company cant control products that should sell. If gm would of had one just one Small compact car that sold well like the Civic,Camry,Ford focus they would have a chance. It takes years to develop a following for a new car and the government thinks these guys can create something in 3-6 months :1
The idea of the Chevy volt is cool but with the economy going to be in the ******* worldwide well into 2010 buying a car for 40k+ when gas is a buck isnt going to sell. They had the damn electric car GM back in the 90's we had charge stations all through out southern california at malls, shopping centers. They could of kept developing on that car and had the price into the 25k range and wouldnt be on the verge of total destruction. They had gold and sold it for coal.
