The UAW is trying to latch on to Toyota and Honda now. Unions are extortionist looters. GM actually found it more cost efficent here to lay off something like 5k union workers, pay them 2 years pay and whatever other severance ---- the UAW made GM agree to, rather than have them work for their money. It's pretty fucked up when it's more efficient for a company to pay thousands of workers to do nothing for a few years rather than having them actually produce something.

When I was a kid in the 90's I remember the UAW striking or threatening to strike every other month on the news. There was always a few weeks a year that my aunt stayed home from work because some local branch of the UAW was striking. Now all the jobs are gone and all of the old GM employees bitch about it, when it's their fault that they're almost dead.

The japs who run toyota/honda are way ahead of the game to fail the same route that GM is facing with its workforce. I dont know the #'s but I wonder how many employees to car ratio's are built by GM vs Yota/Honda/Nissan




Gm needs to get broken up into smaller companies run by guys who dont have their heads stuck in 1987.

The only way they're going to pull that off successfully is by pulling out of America all together and selling on an import only basis. Which I don't doubt that they'll do. Chinese cars are probably in our near future.

unions are gay for $78 or what ever dollars they pay the employee the union get 30 of it thats a big chunk so working in a honda/toyota factory after all of the deductions you will make the same amount of money.

Where is your research that says unions get 30 dollars an hour from their employees pay.

The unions are the reason that the amercan companies are in the position that they are in. I paid for four years of engineering school and perform a skilled task and started out of school making 50K a year that is about 25 dollars an hour. What does a tire installer or a seat installer make 35 or 40 an hour plus primo benifits, all they do is follow the simplest instructions that can be made and never have to use their brain to make a decision. That job should be paid about 15-20 dollars an hour tops.
