30-06, along with most other rounds based on 30cal, are using the same .308 caliber bullet.

chachacha cha chachacha cha!

I'm thinking about downsizing to a smaller daily carry weapon. I'm not a huge guy so even a "compact" Glock is a bit much to carry, especially in the summer when you want to wear as little clothes as possible. Chances are, when/if you ever have to use your gun for protection it will only take one shot to do the job, no matter what size the bullet.

My buddy has a gun that fits inside a wallet looking thing and he can actually fire it while inside this case and it fits easily in any pocket.

For carry, the Glocks, SIG, etc, don't work to well. The best ones have mags that don't offset the rounds, just straight up and down.

Even better is closed hammer 2" barrel revolvers. You never have to worry about the slide or hammer getting caught in clothes. Heh, a .38 special will take anyone down.

I think just about any bullet will at the very least slow someone down enough to save your ***.

I think my problem is I always picked guns that were nice to look at instead of picking a gun that is practical, easy to carry and conceal. My Ruger P90 .45 was too big and bulky to conceal so I bought an H&K USP, which is smaller, but still not very easy to conceal unless you're an ape.

best carry defensive round is 45ACP.

wilson combat makes a sweet new carry pistol that is 45 and has a single stack clip that is 7+1 they also make an extended clip for it which is 11+1

most rounds will take a normal person down even if it doesn't kill them. but when you have someone hyped up on meth or something 9mm and 38 aint gunna do that job. you get that 235grain 45 in there blowin holes in fools and exploding some organs they're going down

How big is that ******? My .45 holds 7 rounds stacked, not staggered and I feel like dirty hairy carrying that ****** around. It's just way too big to be lugging around on a daily basis.

have you ever fired a 240b on single shot ? its the most accurate machine gun that I ever fired it replaced the 240, and the m60 machine gun. and it fires a 7.62 round. even accurate at full automatic.

Whoa there hoss, that's a different round all together. The M-240 uses the 7.62 NATO round. That thing holds a grip more grains than the Soviet 7.62.

It's ballistics are better because it actually has enough oomph to get it fly straight.

Sorry Random, screwed that one up. I have both rounds here now I just pulled out of the case and youre right. But the velocity stats I gave you are correct.
by the way 30-06 sucks for accuracy but has great power. I personally like RPG's but they dont let us have them here in Canada.
