Re:apc racing seats
They look nice, but I don't think I could take the shame and embarassment of having APC seats. I just couldn't do it.

Re:apc racing seats
RiceBoyyy...joke...I luv my OEM racing seats ;D

Re:apc racing seats
Yeah, theys ricey. I don't care if APC made a $100 full blown turbo kit for my civic that made it whoop Cobra asses, I still wouldn't buy it. Get some del Sol seats, they are super comfortable and a race-kinda look to em, you can even get them reupholstered to look however you want. They fit right in most Civics, once you swap the rails, and in my case, I sit about 2 inches lower in my 5G civic coupe, which is nice.

Re:apc racing seats
Seats are gay. Milk-crate stylee.

Re:apc racing seats
----, I hate APC and rice, but go for it. Seats are expensive, so try them out. All you have to do is ask your mom for a seam ripper and take off the APC stitching. Or take them to an upholstery shop and they'll do it. If you try them out, let me know how they are (i.e. quality, comfort, durability, etc.). They may be cheap for a reason.

Re:apc racing seats
i've actually sat in them, they are as nice, if not nicer than the corbeau seats i sat in that closely matched them. they are a step above and beyond the ractive seats for sure. the only thing holding them back is the name being embroidered on the seat. you could afford to have it reupholstered though, and still have saved a bundle over what you'd pay for recaro/sparco/corbeau/bride seats.
----, you could even get one of those spoon/momo/bride/sparco neckbrace things to cover it up and nobody'd ever be the wiser. |
Re:apc racing seats
I couldnt look myself in the mirror if I owned anything APC

except they look like total ----. |
Re:apc racing seats
Is it me or does it seem like there are 2 styles?
One seems to have a wider back (the blue one) that one actually looks good the other looks like crap. I was thinking about this same desicion. I was looking at this and some Recaro SRD's Seeing as what my 2 lazy boy recliners in my living room cost I think I might just buy an srd for the drivers seat since my passenger is still in mint condition. If you were going to buy 2, just take that money and buy one good seat (SRD, or something else) trust me I think you will get what you pay for with APC I have a feeling that 8 year old bangladesh boys cant so so good. |
Re:apc racing seats
I went to Autobacs this weekend... and I was testing out their Racing Buckets... I sat in some recaros.. and got stuck... I guess their made for skinny little asian fools... But the Sparco's were pretty damn comfortable.... oh yeah... but those APC one look like ----... might as well go to Pep-Boys and get some stupid 2F2F, Seat covers...

Re:apc racing seats
If you find a way of taking the APC logo out with messing up the seat, I'll say go for it. But like everyone else have said it's still APC which pretty much means expensive crap. All of their products are made to look sort of good but cannot perform good at all, The foam they use might be cheap and after a few months they could like deform and look like ----. I bought some cheap Recaro style seat from ebay, they look good and feel good, but have not put them in the car yet and used them to see how long they will last. I paid $160 for 2 seats and they rapped me with the shipping charge $140 so the total was like $300 with universal brackets.

Re:apc racing seats
apc blows ass get some nice aluminum ones from summit.
|
Re:apc racing seats
I hate when ppl call them racing seats.. there is not a serious form of high level amature racing that would allow you to use those in any way shape or form.

Re:apc racing seats
Its a great price. Remove the APC and I think the look good too...
BUT I'll stick with my Si seats that match the rest of my interior.. Don't forget to figure in $150 for brackets, hehe.. |

Re:apc racing seats
I'd rather sit in one of those aluminum seats that beau has in his race car, that he got from summit, the el cheapo Kirkey seat, hahaha, except everytime I get in it I feel like someone is punching me in the ribs ;)
I personally like my Sparco seat in my car.. Its the cheapest one they make, but does the job ;D |
