Its been on the car for 4 years when i bought the car and i had it for 5 years so total of 9 years without any problem. The threaded part snapped right underneth the shift **** a few weeks before i sold the car tho. :1

Have had one in my CRX for over a year now no problems, however after having driven a car with a B & M I would definitely buy the better one if I had to do it again. Just feels smoother and they usually come with new bushings too.
