yup they break my boy has one that he uses in all his civics cheap ebay no name broke doing a hard dwonshift to 2nd right after the ****. but no it stits just right. just abopve the boot. . i have an apc one from ebay had it in for 6mo or so and never had a prob. if your worried a few poeple i kow have cut them ahead of time so they wont ever break. its short cheap and custom

I have had no bad luck with generic short throws. If you shift hard enough to vreak it you are shifting too hard. It doesn't take that much effort to shift your tranny.

seirously, are you guys arm wrestling your shifters? physicaly shifting harder doesnt make your car go faster. i dont even see a diffrence with the short throw shifters. its not like the .0001 time diffrence matters, just keep it stock.
