i know how to partition just dont know how to setup to boot correctly.

Kismet does run on freebsd.
I'm pretty sure it doesn't. I know Dragorn personally, and I was working on fixing the Wi driver under freebsd 4.7 so that kismet would run. Maybe you are talking about freebsd 5 ?

i dont know if this is the same thing, but i bought a linksys wireless B a while back and i was taking my laptop out in the car to make some audio recordings and on the way home it connected to 3 wireless networks that were using the default information
