Re:Anyone use this FMU?
8) If you are looking for an FMU, you need a 12:1 ratio. I can recommend a universal unit from VORTECH, the people that do superchargers. They go for about $140 a pop, but they are well worth the money.

Re:Anyone use this FMU?
Most all boost sensitive Fuel Pressure Regulators are pretty much the same and the unit from Holly seems a bit expensive. I would go with MSD part # 2222 which is a unit manufactured by Boch. This regulator was used for management on a Homemadeturbo project car. This one will run you less than $80. good deal.

Re:Anyone use this FMU?
the 12-1 fmu's work ok w/ stock injectors
i think you should use a 10-1 or 8-1 w/ larger injectors bogging sucks.....happened in my 99 4dr gsr-t but that problenm is solved now....totalled the GSR!!!! |
Re:Anyone use this FMU?
Yes I have to agree that the holley FMU's are Expensive but I got a Smokin deal on it. I Will be using a In tank Walbro and I believe that this FMU I can adjust Idle fuel Pressure. ( from what the guy told me that I bought it from anyways).
Does anyone know anyone that uses this unit? Mike |
Re:Anyone use this FMU?
I am confused, i am looking to run about 5-6 psi of boost and am looking for a fmu to support the extra fuel needed. what ratio should i ideally want and do i need to run bigger injectors and an after market fuel pump? thanks for the help. Chris

Re:Anyone use this FMU?
i got 450cc injectors for 45 and had someone burn me a copy of their ghettodyne chip for 15 bucks. this is your best bet. it blows a fmu system out of the water and is way less expensive.
