Default Anyone Use an ELM327?

So here is the deal, I buy this OBDII interface reader off ebay from someone with 100% positive feedback. It comes with the connector, cable and software. All the software is hooked up and I go to connect it to the ECU and...----, it says the device is not responding...So I do some research and find that the chip that is inside the interface is a cheap chinease knockoff and not the real thing....I email the guy but have yet to get a response. I did use my credit card to buy this ($~80 bones), so hopefully I don't have to resort to charging this back after I send back the POS...

Anyone have success with charging back paypal via credit card (American Express)?

ya i dont like how everybody and there kids pet rabbit is selling ---- on ebay, ive only bought a couple things off ebay in the years, a front grill for a car and some urathane motor mounts, and i didnt even recieve the right motor mounts. i think its funny that my one friend looks and buys stuff off ebay all the time, hes always buying chinese ---- that he ends up being dissapointed or breaks. he will tell me about these cars he see's and how sweet they are and how cheap they are, but they have only been for sale for one day. with no bids or maybe one. hes a lost cause on some of his thinking habits.
