anyone in so. cal with a smog hook-up?? help!!!
 

im in san diego, but im willing to drive to get this done...it is a test only, for my 91 ef (i dont have a place to swap a stock motor back in) i have a boosted zc....but i do have another 91 dx thats all stock and just passed smog, so i would be able to do the test with that...so any so-cal guy's please help me out ;D

yes it is hence the cost. And if I do do it its not oh tell your friend etc thing to go by there and bug the guy.

i got one here in the south bay that could do it for less than 200. dont know if it will pass with the turbo but he dosent trip on the visual aspect of the test. i say if it can pass smog with it boosted your golden.

damn julio thats a good price.....but i dont even think it would pass if the car was n/a.......i changed the cams/gears.....pistons(lower comp)

at my school i pretested it (before it was re-built) it had the same set-up you saw when you came down here....and everything was like 4 times the legal limit :-\

there was a post on HT about a guy that passed the test by using one of those Smog test for dummy's addatives.

get a pre test abd show him the test results. IM sure he knows what can be done to make it pass. the 1st tim ehe did my car he diconected one of the injectors so it ran on 3 cyls and it passed :P

If that was years ago there is a reason. The whole smog/swap thing here is super bad. They have really tried cutting down on the whole scene so they make everything that much harder. Wanna street race get caught they take your car forever no questions asked.

oh ---- thats cool! would if i bring pre test results from my school (they wont be official) because the smog shop down the street from me wont even try to smog it (and i go there with my stock cars, so he knows me) but with my hatch he said i have to see the ref ::)
