i need some helpful hands to put my motor together once its back from the machine shop.. im hopeing to get it all done by next weekend or on the weekend.. if anyone in nebraska has some experience and wants to help, i'll bribe you with free pizza and beer >:D lol

hopefully i wont have to solo it but if i have any problems i'll post up ;D

thats part of what i got, but i also needed a tourqe wrench, a bolt out set, and something else which i forgot what it was

i wasnt gonna skimp on the tourqe wrench so that was $75 plus tax, the bolt out was $40 plus tax, the tool set was 200+ plus tax.. it adds up :3

Today I had to buy a new inner tierod removal tool to finish a job at work, it cost me 113 from snap on
It sucked, i just payed my tool bill down to under 600 bucks and now im over 700 again, fucken snap on

i was litteraly spending 20 minutes looking for tools around my garage with what i had before i bought my set... so it was a nesissity (fucked that word over) :y

Ive got a $30 matco egay special tool bag and its got all of the tools I need to do just about anything.

-10, 12, 14, 17mm socket. 3/8" drive
-10, 12, 14mm wrenches
flat tip and philips screwdriver
small flat tip screw driver
needle nose and adjustable pliers
sharpie marker
zip ties
electrical tape

and thats about it.

ohh yeah, and good luck on the rebuild. if i were in nebraska i would be over.

Why didn't you just drop the engine and tranny out the bottom, both at the same time? Woulda saved you alot of time and backache. I can seriously have my b16a/turbo out of my 89 hatch in under 1 1/2 hours. Plus have fun getting that input shaft on the trans back into the clutch and bearing with it hangin like that :l

im either renting a cherry picker or hopeing for someone to have one i can borrow when the time comes to put it back in..

i'll have no problem getting it to line up, i have it back in place now with a jack

i didnt take it out the bottom
A: because i dont have the room to
B: because i didnt want to take the tranny out
C: didnt wanna put the tranny back in
D: i like doing stuff the hard way :P

mostly just didnt want to mess with the axles and the tranny and ---- when i dont have the stuff to lift that much weight into the car without seriously breaking my back

just wow is all i have to say, you sound like a ------- worked fag, i bet half of us on here can take it out the top faster then you can "droP" it out the bottom. big ------- deal unhook 3 plugs that r on the harness, take out the axels, take off hood, chain that bitch up and loosen the mounts. also what the ---- r u talking about the input shaft? that bolts onto the block after its in the tranny, i dont know to many morons who take the tranny off then jack the motor out???? i usually pull the whole mother fucker out and put the whole mother fucker back in.

just figured out what those wires goto... directly to me injectors and ecu!

one wire on all the injectors is the same color so i have no ------- clue where they should go... :l

anyone know how to hook em up to the plug for a Z6 swap into an EF hatch? if so drop me a line... for now i'll fix what i can and search for info on the rest

correct info to fix em will earn you $10 via paypal after the car runs :y

you know im in lincoln, i work at a hardware store and we rent ---- out. if its worth the drive you can come get a cherry picker from me for no cost as long as its from friday 4pm- sunday 6pm. i would need ur credit card though. because when ---- is free somtime u dont get it back...

also how far away is it, i could help next sunday...

its worth it to me, i cant find a place within 100 miles of me that will rent one.. kinda forgot about you over there, lol

i need to get some block posting supplys monday, and something else before the machine shop will do any work on my block so it may not be ready quite by then

i dont have a credit card but my mom could give ya hers, lol.. credit cards get me in trouble ;D i had a 7K bill at circuit city once before because of them

mapquest says lincoln is 4 hours from my house but i made it to omaha in 2 1/2 and lincoln is only 30 miles or so away from where i go in omaha..

how long do you guys rent them out? i'd need it for like 2-3 days to make sure i get everything in right

i dropped my engine and tranny out the bottom at the same time...disconneted harness/fuels lines..jacked the car like 5 feet in the air , put some wood on the jack until i culd jack the motor up then i losened the mounts then just lowered it and me and a buddy carried it into the garage took about and hour with 2 people..i wish ihad a cherry picker tho
